1. Point to the word “red” on the board.

2. Say: take away the “r” What do you hear? and put a “b”, what do you get….etc. Take away the "b" and change to a "t".

3. Do the same with: /m/, /n/, /p/ and /l/.

4. Put up the word "led". Take away the "d" and put a "t" What do you get?
